The footpaths that were closed but part of the app trail (from the Grameen to the station and the ramp from Clifton Terrace to King George V Walk) are now open - hurrah!
If you have a mobile phone or a digital camera or an MP3 player or a camcorder you should be able to record or film short interviews for the project. We would like to know old stories and legends as well as memories of the Hayle Area growing up, during the war, working life & fun days such as Hayle Regatta & Tea Treats. You will need to record the person giving their permission to use the interview in lectures, publications (print/ audio/ film/ CD), by libraries/ museums/ archives/ educational institutes and on the internet. Do they want their full name to be used or to remain anonymous? Better still we can email or send out a permission form - contact Lucy: hayle.history@btconnect.com 01736 753962

Oh no, the footpath leading from the bridge/ Grameen restaurant up to the station is closed again. Drat. You can listen to these stories via the Listen at Home button in the app while you sit and have a coffee, beer, ice cream - or just a look at the view.
